Jog Your Mind: A Cognitive Vitality Workshop for Seniors

Concerned that your memory isn’t what it used to be? Are you interested in learning more about how aging can affect your concentration and your ability to rationalize? Like our muscles, our brain needs to be exercised every day to stay in shape.

Memory and concentration can be affected by a number of factors like stress, health problems, loneliness, and inactivity. At the workshops, you will learn about how aging and other factors can affect memory, useful tips and tricks for keeping your mind sharp, and what different types of activities and exercises will stimulate your mind.

The purpose of the Jog your Mind workshops are to help you:

  • Regain confidence in your memory
  • Sharpen your attention and memory faculties
  • Practice tricks to help you remember information on a daily basis

Vision is offering the Jog Your Mind program beginning on October 26, each session will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. every week for 10 weeks. The sessions will run out of the Vision office in the Douglastown Community Centre and there is a $5.00 fee per session to help cover the costs of materials.
