The Gaspé Library English Book Club will be holding their next meeting on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at 1:30.
The meetings are held upstairs at the Gaspé Library (The “Biblio” between Place Jacques Cartier and the bottom of the Brise Bise steps), where you will have the opportunity to have afternoon tea and chat, mostly about books that you have read and that you would like to recommend to others. The library is closed to the public at that time, although you will still be able to return and take out books and order inter-library loan books.
The new local collection books are listed in the binder near the novels. The rotation is late this season, so you can catch the older network books (blue and red dots) before they leave. The new ones will arrive the first week of May.
In general the library is open Monday 2:00 – 5:00, Wednesday 2:00 – 5:00 and 6:30 – 8:00, Friday 6:30 – 8:00, and Saturday 10:00 – 1:00. All services and activities are free except for the $2 charge for inter-library loans. You may borrow “a handful for a month,” that is, five books for four weeks. The book-return chute by the door is always open. Please put the books in a bag when using the chute, to prevent them from damage as they fall.
For planning your independent visits to the library, considering the variable weather these days, storm closures are posted on the library’s Facebook page and the phone numbers there are 418-368-2104, ext. 8576 (main desk), or ext. 8603 (director’s office).
If you have any questions or comments feel free to contact Tracy Wolfe at email@example.com or 418-368-3005.
Welcome to all who enjoy reading English books!
